Deaf Education

The Maguire Foundation’s commitment to Deaf education stems from Mr. Maguire’s family and early years. Mr. Maguire’s father was partially deaf.

While in college, Mr. Maguire volunteered at the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. Early in his career, Mr. Maguire convinced Met Life to allow him to sell insurance to his friends in the Deaf community. He went on to sell standard insurance to the Deaf community, a first in the company’s history, and went on to become a sales leader at the company!

Today, The Maguire Foundation supports a range of educational, internship programs, schools and organizations for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
