December Murphy (pictured second from right), Maguire Scholar and junior at West Catholic Prep (WCP), was recently accepted into the University of Pennsylvania’s Pipeline Program, along with four other WCP students.
The University of Pennsylvania offers the two-year Pipeline Program to high school students. It is a dual program where students work part-time at the University of Pennsylvania Health System as a paid employee, while also taking college courses at Community College of Philadelphia. This will count towards the students’ credits when they attend college in two years. Meaning that these students will have a semester or more of college credits before they enroll in college.
