Hosted by West Catholic Preparatory High School, this camp extended learning into the summer through traditional and non-traditional experiences. Offering academic, artistic, and athletic enrichment, as well as field trips around Philadelphia, this four-week camp welcomed 84 middle school age campers, 66 of which were Maguire Scholars. Jake Mingy, Summer Slam Camp Director, said, “I’ve worked with children for 10 years now and Summer Slam was one of the most impactful programs I’ve been a part of. My favorite part of the camp was seeing how the students reacted to the different trips we went on. You could see their excitement at the chance to experience all of these new things.”
