Tune Up Philly – Orchestral Pathways Program, offered by PYO Music Institute, provides students with intensive afterschool music education in Philadelphia’s most underserved communities. Through learning how to play an instrument and performing with a group, students grow in their abilities to set goals, work as a team player, accept constructive criticism, and develop as young musicians. Tune Up Philly’s focus is on removing hurdles that stand between willing students and the resources they need to start making music. Many of the students featured in this video are from schools that are supported by the Maguire Foundation for this program.
